For the past *I can’t remember how long*, I’ve felt like hot garbage. No energy, exhausted all the time, brain fog, kind of sad with no reason to be, etc. At the suggestion of my dear friend Christina Cox I went to see her NP Karla Gardner King. She did a very detailed blood panel on me. Surprise! My hormones were in the tank and my fasted blood sugar was high, my cholesterol was high, my kidney function was off, just one thing after another. The only thing offsetting my condition was exercise. She put me on some hormones but also a few other medications to help the cascade of disease that happens when you are hormone deficient. It was not an immediate turnaround. Last Friday, however, I turned a corner. I have either gone to the gym or run sprint drills every single day except for Monday because I got pretty sore. I'm not kidding, I have not had this much energy in about two years. If you would like to see someone that will do a super deep dive into your current condition and potential for rebound, I cannot recommend Karla enough.
